From concept to culture

Founded in 1999 with the goal of producing professional fingerboard ramps, Blackriver has grown into a world-renowned brand of fingerboard equipment of all kinds.

From the beginning, the Blackriver team's goal was to promote fingerboarding and create a scene where everyone could feel comfortable.

Today, we support and organize fingerboarding events, sponsor a worldwide team of fingerboarding and skateboarding riders, and continue to drive the professionalization of fingerboarding through constant product innovation.

The idea for the company came to founder Martin Ehrenberger after a trip to the USA in 1998, where he bought his first plastic fingerboard and immediately fell in love with this new hobby. He started looking for miniature ramps and boards, but couldn't find any high quality products. So he decided to combine his carpentry training with his years of skateboard ramp building experience and Blackriver Ramps was born. It all started with the Big Mama, which still exists today.

Today we offer everything a fingerboarder's heart desires and much more. You can find our products in the webshop, we also offer services, build skateparks and sponsor a team of world class fingerboarders.
